Alienation is a process in which humanity is progressively transformed into an outsider in the world created by work. (A. Swingewood 2000 p32). It manages to create vast accumulations of wealth in one corner of society, an increase in the value of things obtained only at the cost of a progressive default of human life itself. Alienation, however, occurs only when humanity, having externalized itself, encounters its own activity, its own essence, which operates as an external, alien and oppressive power. In general, alienation is the process in which people become strangers to the world in which they live, we can also say, it is the transformation of people owning work by transforming it into a power that governs them as if through some sort of natural or superhuman law. The origin of alienation is FETICISM, which means the belief that inanimate things (GOODS) have human powers capable of governing the activity of human beings. [Estrangement and alienation]. Marx emphasizes that alienation is the human labor that created culture and history. The formation of economic exchange is the result of a historical process, and capitalism is a historically determined system of production. (Anthony Diggens 1987 p10). The Marxian analysis of alienation in capitalist production starts from a contemporary economic fact, from the fact that the capitalist advances the more the workers become impoverished. The owner of land and capital makes the capitalist mode of production possible with his enormous wealth. The main point of Marx's argument is that, in capitalism, the material objects produced are treated as equals to the worker himself, just as they are on a purely theoretical level. The worker becomes a cheaper commodity the more goods he produces. [Marx] (Ibid p11). The Worker has no control over the disposal of his product, since others appropriate what he produces, so that he derives no benefit from it. If the product of labor is alienated, the product itself must be an active alienation. (Ibid p12).
