Shore Road Mystery by Franklin W. Dixon The Hardy boys, Frank and Joe, were driving along Shore Road and heard a news story about a stolen car. Frank and Joe ran to the scene and saw the stolen car. Suddenly, a big red produce truck drove right into the middle of the road. The boys had to brake suddenly. They crashed into a fence and were stunned but not injured. The driver got out of the truck and said he was sorry. Frank thought there was something fishy about that boy. They both went home and tried not to let their mother see all their cuts and bruises. The next morning a man named Jack Dodd called and told the Hardys to come right away. The police were looking for someone who had stolen a car. The police thought they had found their man. They found Jack Dodd's fishing pole in the trunk of one of the stolen cars. Jack told the police that he didn't put it there and that he had been framed. The cops handcuffed Jack and his father and took them to headquarters. Later the police chief went to the Hardys' home and told them that the Dodds had left in their station wagon. The Hardys had known the Dodds for a long time and simply didn't see them breaking the law.
