Topic > Water Conservation and Water Conservation - 1143

Insufficiency of fresh water and increasing pollution of water bodies are becoming limiting factors in the economic and social development of many countries around the world. California, for example, needs water from sources miles away from them. As a result, their strategy for water conservation is to reduce carbon emissions and benefit human health. In some cases, Californians have had to reduce water use by more than 31% (Ian, 2015). It was mandatory to do so so that they understood the importance of water conservation. To survive during the period when they were not allowed to use water, they were provided with liters of water. The amount of fresh water used by people is believed to be 0.7% (The Gale Group, 2008). This small amount of available fresh water is recycled and purified by the action of the hydrological cycle. Such processes include evaporation, condensation, precipitation and percolation through the soil. In order to reduce water consumption and implement water conservation strategies, a health impact assessment was carried out in California (Sharona, et al, 2016). There are many things to do regarding water conservation, but even a simple step to increase water safety and minimize health damage is always necessary. These include water reuse and reducing household water, for example by not overusing water in the shower, in the kitchen, in the garden, etc. Having awareness of these issues will also help with water
