In 1997, a group of college kids started something that would become a world-famous phenomenon, Counter-Strike. Counter-Strike is an online, team-based first-person shooter. In this game, the two teams (terrorists and counter-terrorists) face each other using various team-specific weapons and attempt to achieve victory by completing team-specific objectives. Counter-terrorists must rescue hostages, protect VIPs and protect bomb sites from terrorists. While terrorists must prevent hostage rescue, assassinate VIPs and destroy bomb sites. Counter-strike is home to a wide variety of real weapons that are used in similar situations today, disturbing huh? Each player in the game has their own budget and can purchase weapons, ammunition, and equipment (such as Kevlar armor and grenades).
