Author's Note: Ok, I haven't written anything in forever and I know I haven't finished any of my previous works, but I really hope you enjoy it. I've decided to rewrite STLDFM and I may change it drastically in the meantime, but I have a feeling it will end well, be sure to comment and rate, it helps to know how you feel. (August's PoV) "August?" Skyfall is where we begin A thousand miles and poles apart Where worlds collide and the days are dark You could have my number, you could take my name But you'll never have my heart “August?” Let the sky fall (let the sky fall) When it crumbles (when it crumbles it crumbles) We'll stand (we'll stand) We'll face it all together To the sky f-"August!" his voice was soft but short when he reached me. "Huh?" I sat down and turned to my mother as she turned off my laptop. She sat on my bed, her back to me, with one knee bent under her. Her face looked tired and old, and unfortunately that was something I had grown accustomed to seeing in her by now. She was still beautiful but she had lost something. "Haven't you been paying attention to me?" he asked, his voice full of irritation. A slight hint of guilt crossed my chest, I really need to work on my attention span. I huffed softly and rubbed my eyes, "yeah, sorry but I'm tired mom after all. we finally finished unpacking. I said as I yawned and rested my head against the pillow. As the words left my lips I watched as a wave of pain overwhelming my mother, holy shit! I immediately regretted reminding her to unpack. It was hard enough for her without me casually reminding her that Ethan's belongings were still stored somewhere in the back of the attic. I was about to open my mouth. to try to comfort me… middle of paper… like I was paranoid. She laughed some more before straightening up and putting on her composed adult face, “shut your ass up and go to sleep before I get all gangsta.” with you" he threatened, swelling up and pretending to take a step towards me. "No God, no. “Just stop,” I shouted as I backed away from her in mock terror, “and I don't think gangsters say ass,” I added matter-of-factly, my mother watching her deflate and start giggling. “Whatever you wear “I don't know, nada,” she said as she left my room. “Mom,” I called her once she left my room. “Yes?” She asked as she peeked into my room.” I love you" I whispered softly. "I love you too, now get some sleep" he said turning off the light. I stood there for a long time looking at the ceiling, then came the soft, suffocated sobs. They broke my heart but I left them come and only when they stopped did I finally go to sleep.
