Introduction In the healthcare context, the provision of services for clients usually involves collaboration between professional nurses (RNs) and other members of the multidisciplinary team to meet needs of customers (Doyle, 2008; Ward, 2013). Before facing this real work environment, nursing students should acquire collaboration skills and become accustomed to it during their study. In the Mental Health for Practice unit, students were given the opportunity to develop collaboration skills in an assigned group project by developing a YouTube presentation to complete the activity. This thoughtful piece will discuss the process of forming the group and selecting roles for each member. Relationships within the group will be explored along with my self-awareness after completing the project. ProcessO'Neill & Cowman (2008) define a group as more than one person with different abilities joining forces to achieve the same goals. According to the authors, a group can work effectively by respecting each other, having open communication, understanding each other's roles, and allowing time for regular meetings to achieve desired results. Sargeant, Loney, and Murphy (2008) also shared the same opinion regarding the criteria of effective teamwork. These criteria were applicable in the process of our group work since the group formation and topic choice showed a high level of cooperation. The group was formed because all team members knew each other beforehand. Coincidentally, the team members were all international students, which made choosing a topic related to the circumstance of being international students seem likely. The decision for the group topic: 'Mental health problems of international students', was made after a thorough...... half of the report...... participants would also show respect during the discussion group, providing space and time for each member to express their thoughts before other members tried to express their ideas. After these implicit rules were shown, the next part was to present the main problem that occurred during the process of finishing the group task. While completing an individual task was not a difficult challenge in this group effort, combining each member's materials for recording on YouTube proved to be much more difficult. One person assigned to carry out this task had difficulty picking up the workload of others. A complication occurred when members were trying to email their parts. Since it was difficult to send the recording files as whole data, the members decided to solve the problem by sending the files in multiple parts to the person who did the editing..
