This building is considered the flagship of the group and contains 560 rooms and 44 suites. The original Taj Mahal Palace Hotel building was commissioned in Indo-Saracenic style by Tata and opened its doors to guests on December 16, 1903. It is India's most luxurious hotel with its marvelous architecture, but its architect himself killed himself because the hotel was not build according to plan. If rumors are to be believed, the architect, who designed the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, is said to have killed himself in that hotel as the design of the place had not gone according to plan. The ghost of this hotel is none other than the chief engineer of the Taj Mahal Hotel. People believed that the engineer committed suicide after realizing that the building was mistakenly constructed in the opposite direction. Many people have experienced paranormal activity.
