No matter where you look or where you go, there will always be some aspect of the Civil War, whether it be views on religion, issues with slavery today, or even politics. The relevance of the Civil War today does not mean that we are still in a Civil War, but rather to show where we came from and what we are still fighting for. Without having divisions in the country, we would end up creating a country that never changes, and it would be one-way. Depending on how you look at it, Corporate America seems to have the upper hand over politicians, somewhat creating that one-sided scenario. For this reason, this is why the Civil War is still relevant today, and the current election will determine the direction this country will take, and hopefully for the
