I want them to think about real life experience, but not always taking the same examples from textbooks. Given my professional experience, I provide examples from my personal experience and what I have learned from my previous dealings with various world leaders. Additionally, my students learn argumentation skills not only in person but also in writing through an online discussion forum when they are not in class. In addition to reading, students have the opportunity to access course material posted on Blackboard one week in advance. I believe having the materials ahead of time helps them participate in the lesson by asking questions or making comments. Interacting with individual students is part of my classroom strategy. I strive to respond to all student emails within 24 hours. I believe this strategy increases trust between student and instructor. My students feel that I care about their studies and their success. I often send email reminders for any upcoming assignment deadlines. Maintaining fluid communication is the engine of success. Because students have different backgrounds and interests, I try to adapt my schedule to meet students in person if they request it
