Poverty and lack of awareness programs make the sex industry profitable for Thai criminals. It is important that the Thai government continues to try to initiate awareness programs that educate migrant workers about working conditions in Thailand. This includes training on overseas recruitment processes (TIP Report). These educational sources may include, but are not limited to, manuals for migrant workers published in Thailand and neighboring countries. Finally, the Ministry of Labor conducts regular seminars with Thai workers to inform them about the legal regulations that work with guest worker programs (TIP Report). Thailand continues to be on the Tier 2 Watch List due to its inadequate programs to eradicate the sex trade and it is important that they are more aware and serious about the issue. Thailand would not only reduce the number of victims and similar cases, but also make it easier for victims to obtain assistance. This assistance can dissuade citizens from becoming victims, it can dissuade victims from seeking risky employment, and it can dissuade criminals from participating as hosts and influencers of sex
