He was a truly admirable man and wanted the best for everyone because he saw the value in all people, regardless of skin color. Lincoln was very intelligent from an early age and has extremely good social skills. It was stated in the film that everyone loved him multiple times and he seemed to be very confident in his decisions and actions. These are all characteristics of the Great Man theory, and the theory I see Lincoln least associated with is the power approach to theory. I don't believe Lincoln's actions were driven by power.
