TraitsKatniss Everdeen is very determined. If he wants to do something, he tries until he achieves it. This is demonstrated when Katniss wins the Hunger Games after Prim, her sister, told her that she should try to win and throughout the games she remembers these words and uses them as guidance. He is also very strong mentally and physically. Her worst character trait is that she lets nice people take root in her, so if someone pretends to be nice she will allow it to take root, meaning she lets them know about her and becomes accommodating to them. “A kind Peeta Mellark is much more dangerous to me than an unkind one. Kind people can find their way into me and root themselves there,” (page 49). This shows that kind people can take root in her. Another important characteristic is that she is a survivor. She knows how to get food to survive in any condition, like in the Hunger Games where she had to find food in the huge jungle while being hunted by other tributes.
