“Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy”, I read as I crossed the gates of what seemed to me, at that moment, a place full of deception, corruption and lost dreams. Little did I know that that place would become a staple in my life when I needed to find the feeling of feeling perfectly satisfied. When I visited Disneyland in 2011, ten years after my first visit, all my prejudices about a brainwashing society vanished. Instead, I realized that this very place was filled with enough dreams and magic to lift a brooding teenager from a tantrum to a state of contentment. Disneyland had the power to restore stolen innocence to the young and frail. During the spring of 2011, my family had a trip to the theme park planned. I wasn't too keen on it because of my rebellious "I'm too cool for this kid stuff" phase. On the day of the park visit my attitude had not wavered.
