Topic > Frank Lloyd Wright: An Inspiration for Future Architects

From his beginnings in a small town in Wisconsin, the rise of a great architect began its journey. No one has reached his level of expertise in the architectural field. Frank Lloyd Wright's achievements are unparalleled, he was inspired by natural and simplistic designs and his career flourished thanks to his ingenuity. Early in his career, in the United States, Frank Lloyd Wright gave Frank Lloyd Wright a wide range of experiences. He was employed by Louis Sullivan for the Chicago architectural firm under the name of Adler and Sullivan. He was later accused of breaching his contract with them; this opened the opportunity for Wright to explore different types of architecture on his own. Some of Wright's notable public commissions were the Unity Temple in Oak Park and the Larkin Company Administration Building in Buffalo, New York. These works had the potential to expose himself to the world as an independent architect. Looking for a change of pace, Frank Lloyd Wright came to the decision that he would go to Europe for some sort of extended vacation. While there “Wright worked on two publications of his work, published by Ernest Wasmuth, one of drawings known as Wasmuth Portfolio, Ausgeführte Bauten und Enwürfe von Frank Lloyd Wright, one of photographs, Ausgeführte Bauten, both published in 1911” (Europe and Japan). These works brought his projects international recognition. Towards the end of the holidays he was asked to undertake design work on the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo Japan in 1946, he was 49 years old. Japan is a frontier in many senses, and “For Frank Lloyd Wright, Japan was a muse and perhaps a savior” (Birmingham) of his career. Frank Lloyd Wright used this project to revive his career, which was crumbling around him...... middle of paper......or to say that there is no American architect who ever lived who did as much to realize his vision of what perfect Frank Lloyd Wright architecture could be.
