Topic Introduction--- According to the Foundation's child count, there are currently 27,000 children in Utah living in areas of concentrated poverty.III. Demonstrate the importance--- The best known benefit of volunteering is the impact on the community and if we all volunteered we could have a better and safer community. I volunteer every month at our local food pantry in Layton and would like to tell you about some of the personal benefits of volunteering.IV. Main Takeaways --- Today I will talk about the needs of our community, ways we can help, and what our community could look like if we all helped. Body I. Need: There are many struggles in our community and this affects all of us.a. Families living in poverty have significant needs, which must be addressed.i. Increased Poverty – Increased poverty has had a negative impact on children.1. Childhood infections – Children living in extreme poverty are more likely to contract any disease.
