The world changed forever when social networks (via the Internet) came into existence one post at a time. Social media has not only changed the way people communicate, but it has also changed the way they learn. The world of social media is growing rapidly every year and offers more opportunities for businesses to market their brand because they have become more consumer-centric through interactions made on social media. Social media has become an important tool for like-minded people because it has changed the way we learn, communicate, and even how businesses interact with customers. Have you ever heard the phrase "You learn something new every day"? It's true: Kids ages 8 to 18 learn new information every minute, except when they're in school for long periods of time. In a recent study, Tamar Lewin concluded that “if your kids are online, they're probably awake.” While this isn't necessarily true, many kids who surf the Internet absorb 11 hours of social media in a period of just 7.5 hours. While all of the above is true, people forget 80% of what they learn every day. There are numerous people out there who spend an inordinate amount of time each day absorbing and encouraging their psyche with immeasurable amounts of knowledge. It's amazing to see such a variety of individuals invest in taking themselves to the next level. Unfortunately, despite the usefulness of the goal, there is an undetected negative influence on ruminating and acquiring new data. The advantages of online networking are direct access, compactness of the technology, simplicity and opportunity for discourse and replication... middle of paper... flaws. For a company to be more successful than its competitors, interaction with customers plays an important role because people want to feel welcomed. Social media has become an important tool for like-minded people because it has changed the way we learn, communicate and even the way businesses interact with customers. Although people learn new information every day, the average person forgets about 80% of what they learned overall in any given session. While social media may have ruined face-to-face interaction a bit, having a conversation on a website has become the new standard of communication today. Brands that communicate with their target market will likely earn more capital because positive customer responses trigger a sense of being wanted and customers love that feeling more than anything in the world.
