Genetic engineering is a new and very powerful tool in our society. It is, exactly, the alteration of genes in an organism to meet certain criteria. While it has proven to be beneficial in countless ways, it has also had many negative side effects. Its use varies depending on crops, animals and in the medical field. To begin with, genetically modified foods (genetically modified foods) are foods in which their structure has been reformed into an unnatural state. There is a great diversity of these foods and they essentially come from crops. That said, it is the literal crops where the editing process occurs. Examples of genetically modified foods are tomatoes, corn, canola, milk and numerous others.
