Brooke made me promise not to tell anyone what had happened and forced me to take her home. Once there, I started thinking about the evidence of rape and how, without reporting it, this football player would most likely have gotten away with it. Reporting this to the police and having Brooke go to the hospital to get a rape kit done, could be very difficult for her and in some ways could be worse than the rape itself because of the stigma associated with the rape itself.
