The Negative Impact on College Students with Credit Cards Having credit card debt as an adult with a stable job is one thing, but being a struggling college student it's another. Credit card charging now has a major effect on college campuses, too. Many students are able to take good care of their credit cards, while most end up with a lot of debt. The main reason for this is because students are not given enough knowledge on how to pay their debts on time, as well as credit card companies who harass college students on a daily basis. Unfortunately, companies couldn't care less about the holes they allow students to fall into. Easier credit for students allows them to perform worse. The mere thought of offering freebies or a large credit limit to attract college students is a disaster waiting to happen and should not be allowed on campuses. Unfortunately, many college students are major victims of credit cards. companies. The reason for this is simply because; most college students have their parents to help them when they find themselves in this type of situation, which helps them get out of credit card debt. Another reason is because students have full lives ahead of them, this means more time for active interests to last more years. Once a student turns 18 credit cards become legal so it seems like the right thing to do. Credit card companies are found throughout the United States at several colleges and universities. Many facilities began to notice the harassment from companies and began banning them from entering campuses. With this new reason the credit card companies planned and succeeded in several ways to attract the c......middle of paper......work to read and study for my classes that I had. All of this was enough to keep me happy as a college student. Every single one of my needs was met by working extra hours at my job. This can be the same case for all other students as well. I think schools and colleges should put an end to credit card debt and stop students from applying for these credit cards which can lead to lifelong turmoil and problems.
