Traditionally, the border of a sovereign state bound a group of people to a common purpose and a sense of nationalism. Gradually expansionism, industrialization, technology and communication improved and these obstacles became a graph on a map. This article will analyze and define globalization and discuss two transnational issues that challenge the national interests of the United States. Globalization is the new world order in which states are interdependent on each other and borders no longer limit the flow of ideas, information, trade and politics. Globalization increases living standards, decreases poverty and guarantees the stability and security of every sovereign state by making war too expensive to wage. Globalization extends the control of power from governments to citizens by spreading the wealth of knowledge and capital to every individual, helping to eliminate tyrants and increasing human rights.
