I can confidently say that all my goals have been achieved. The materials presented in this course were varied, from books to films to guest speakers from around the world. The material presented concerned myths, symbols and rituals; how each individual related the material to the course concepts was completely up to the individual. I will continue to explore the scientific perspective as it applies to God and the formation of the Earth. After learning about the Dax case, I was truly shocked that I had not learned about the patients' experiences. May's book introduced me to the four principles that healthcare professionals should follow. I realized, after each book, journal, or movie we were introduced to, that I could connect it to the course, and each story helps me better understand how religion and healthcare coincide.
