Poseidon: God of the sea. Poseidon, the great Greek ruler of the sea, horses and earthquakes. His ancestors come from the family of Olympians who roamed the world in 2200 BC. With the father of Cronus and mother of Rhea and having the famous brother of Zeus. Which fortunately saved him from being eaten by his famous father, Kronos. He was saved when Rhea, "the mother of all gods", had tricked Cronus into eating a rock instead of eating another of her children ("Rhea"). Similar to what Cronus did with Hestia, Pluto, Hera and Demeter. Which at that time would have been the newborn, Zeus. When he ate the stone, he vomited out all the children. This led to the overthrow of the great ruler known as Cronus ("The Myths of Poseidon, God of the Sea"), the Battle of Titanomonia. They freed three Cyclopes from the pit of hell and helped them in the war. The Cyclopes returned a favor by granting the power of lightning to Zeus, the "helmet of invincibility" to Hades, and, most importantly, the trident to Poseidon. The three-pronged weapon gave Poseidon the powers needed to defeat Kronos and the Titans. Using the powers given to them by the Cyclopes, they eventually overthrew his powerful father, Kronos, with the help of his brothers Zeus and Hades at the Battle of Titanomonia. The battle resulted in the Titans and the underworld monster, Typon, being sent to the "underworld" known as "Tartarus". By defeating Kronos they divided their power into three. Zeus gains the power to rule heaven and earth. Then Hades gained the privilege of ruling the area known as the "underworld". The third and final area divided between Zeus, Poseidon and Hades was that of the dominion of the sea ("The myths of Poseidon, God of... half of the sheet...
