The lesson isn't as bad as I thought, it went really well. I don't know if the tips in the exercise are easily recognizable, but writing poetry is now easier for me compared to the previous lesson. The poems used in the portfolio all came from the exercise we had to do in class. The reason for this was that I really liked some of the poems I had written in the exercises, and I wanted to improve them and maybe, one day, publish them. The first portfolio poem entitled “UKiss” comes from the poem in exercise number 6. For exercise, we had to choose a prompt from The Companion Poet's book. The task was called stop making sense and the prompt I chose was to create a collage of words. We should collect words and phrases from everything we read every day; this may include newspapers, magazines, etc. once we have the words and sentences, we take them and compose them into a poem.
