We've all found ourselves tied together in one way or another: too much schoolwork, too many activities, friends who demand our time. Well, no matter how you found yourself tied, we all found ourselves tied to a mountain, some for as long as 13 years. Although confined, we have all managed to extricate ourselves from our ties to the hill and create other lasting bonds. We've been busy since the beginning, ever since we learned to tie our shoes in elementary school, tying those blue and black shoes that everyone had to wear. Elementary school was a carefree time that no one will ever forget. I know I can't. I mean, come on, don't you remember performing at the May Day and Christmas programs, celebrating the Multicultural Festival in third grade, or even getting tangled and tied in your rope at Jump Rope for Heart? Ah, the fond memories of our “rigorous” physical education program, which included the now infamous cockroach dance. As the years went by, our class grew in size. Well, I think most people grew up anyway. But with the addition of more than 60 children in fourth grade, our friendships have grown to an astonishing number....
