Adolph Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party, came to power in the mid-1920s. He was a gifted orator and very anti-Semitic. When he began his political career, he was really a nobody. Through a series of fortunate coincidences he attracted the attention of the party's powerful people. He was a powerful speaker and was able to recruit many new members into the party. He was such an asset that he managed to establish himself higher and higher in the organization or he threatened to leave the party. The leaders knew that if he left the party, the Nazi Party would collapse. in 1933 he was appointed Chancellor of the party and from then on was able to manipulate the system to become a dictator with complete control. Hitler's anti-Semitism led to his desire to annihilate all Jews which was what led to the Holocaust. He described the Jews as racially undesirable and that he would not stop until every last Jew had been eliminated from Germany, leaving only an Aryan master race.
