“Lesson,” I announced, “today I will teach you a simpler method for finding the greatest common divisor and least common multiple of a set of numbers.” In fifth grade, my teacher asked if anyone had any other methods for finding the greatest common divisor of two numbers. I volunteered and soon the whole class and teacher started using my method to solve problems. Teaching my fifth grade class inspired me to teach others how important math and science are. These days, I enjoy helping my friends with their math homework, knowing that I'm helping them understand the concept and improve their grades. In sixth grade, one of my future teachers, Mrs. Bhaskar, created a "club" where members would participate in math competitions, such as AMC 8 and Math Olympiad. When I went to his classroom to register, he told me I was the first person to ask about the club. Unfortunately, he said he needed more members in the club, otherwise he would have to cancel the club. Therefore, I asked many of my friends to join the club, and soon there were more than ten members participating in the mathematics course...
