You could get a grade in a semester instead of a year. During this time I was determined to become a lawyer. My parents always told me that I should be a lawyer because they said “tu no pierde un case” (you don't lose a case). I also thought I was good at winning arguments and I liked the way movies portrayed lawyers, it seemed cool and fun. I also wanted to be a lawyer because I thought they "made good money" and I wouldn't have to worry about my finances. That all changed when I had the opportunity to take a criminal justice class with a couple of recent graduate attorneys offered by my school. I enjoyed the course, but I realized that I didn't want to become a lawyer. I started to change my mind because of all the years it took to be in that profession and because it just didn't appeal to me anymore when I learned more about it through the course.
