532). Restorative justice programs address the needs of all stakeholders who have been harmed by the event. These programs promote tolerance, inclusion, respect, integrity, empathy, and forgiveness (Hutchison, 2013). People who possess these characteristics are much more likely to transform their lives into productive citizens. The District Attorney's Office can play an important role in assisting victims and offenders in the healing process. Our office follows every case from start to finish. We can see the needs of all those affected by crime. Early interaction and understanding of each case are the reasons why I believe restorative justice programs can be implemented and successful at the D.A.
