Female education has become a growing problem in developing countries. Throughout history, women have only been seen as good at housework and providing for children, they have no need for education. Despite what was thought in past centuries, this ideology has become old, unjust and wrong in today's time. Today, women are tired of the abuse and abandonment they receive at home and want to live their lives freely in the world. This has become a taken-for-granted right in the United States and other first-world countries, but has only recently emerged in other nations. Specifically in Afghanistan, women's rights are slowly improving, but remain a minor issue for the government. War has existed in Afghanistan for years and has failed to spare schools from violence. The literacy rate remains around 26% in the average population and only 12% among women, demonstrating that recent generations have received very little education.
