Topic > A heuristic routing protocol for wireless sensors...

The paper proposes a heuristic routing protocol with greedy algorithm (GAHR) and an A* algorithm for route search, and then evaluates them with conventional routing protocols to overcome their disadvantages and to make them more suitable for home automation. There are some unique characteristics that wireless sensor networks (WSNs) possess and are described in the paper as follows:1. Easy implementation and reduced installation costs2. Good scalability3. Easy integration with mobile users' devices Before designing a routing protocol for WSNHA there are some requirements that the protocols should satisfy and some of which are discussed in the paper: improved energy efficiency, low storage and algorithmic simplicity, high dependence on distribution of sensor nodes, self-adaptation to network changes, reduced scalability and mobility management. The routing types overlooked in this document are:1. Flat2-based routing. Cluster-based routing3. Location-Based Routing Below is a comparative view of these routing types with their advantages and disadvantages: Routing Advertisement...
