The whole attitude of the art world changed when his art appeared. He replied that it means you are a great artist if it drips. Andy soon discovered that you didn't have to drip to be a great artist. Andy is believed by some to have produced what he believed was 20th century America. Warhol changed the way people thought about great artists. Before Warhol, many artists had assistants who hung and prepared canvases, ran commissions, or even participated in the making of the work. The Factory was a large meeting place where work but above all play took place.
