The American Nurses Association (ANA) is a professional organization dedicated to the protection and advancement of the nursing profession. It represents professional nurses and is involved in setting standards of nursing practice and promoting nurses' rights in the workplace. ANA is also involved in promoting the economic and general well-being of nurses. The Mississippi Nurses Association (MNA) is a professional organization that represents nurses through activities, events, programs, forums and workshops. MNA works to find solutions to problems affecting the nursing profession. The National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (NOADN) is the primary supporter of associate degree nursing. NOADN promotes the academic progression of ADN graduates in furthering their studies in order to reach their maximum professional potential. NOADN is committed to improving the quality of AD nursing education, strengthening the professional roles of AD nurses, and promoting the future of AD nursing in the midst of healthcare changes. The Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (MOADN) is a statewide organization primarily interested in working to maintain the registered nurse title and scope of practice of the associate degree nurse.
