Germany used similar tactics but focused more on nationalism and support for the Nazi Party. They spread hatred of Jews by showing that Germans have perfect health and model looks and Jews are ugly with big noses and curved backs. However, Germany was not the only country to use such dehumanizing tactics. The United States described the Japanese as fools and monsters. Americans often portrayed their enemies as animals. Posters were generally placed in specific areas where they would stand out and be seen. The common areas were schools, restaurants, post offices and shops. Propaganda was posted in schools to convince girls and boys to join the effort as an escape from their parents. Small posters were made to fit the windows of private homes and buildings.
