A big difference between the Azande and the Aztecs was that the Aztecs who were noble were not allowed any say in who to marry and who to start a family with. The Azande parents were more flexible and let their daughter have her destiny in her own hands if she wanted to marry the man who was willing to take her hand in marriage.
