Now lay the shirt, front side up, on top of the cling film covering the floor/ground and overlap one. Next, determine where the center of the spiral will be, most commonly they start in the center of the shirt. Pinch both layers of the shirt where the center will be and place the fabric between the tines of the fork. We begin slowly and carefully to move the fork as if we were eating spaghetti; once you reach the edges of the shirt, gently guide the ends to conform to the spiral, without removing the fork. At this point, locate four elastic bands to divide the shirt into eight sections, two sections for each of the four colors. Place the first and second rubber bands around the shirt in a perpendicular pattern; holding the center of the spiral, remove the fork and position the remaining two rubber bands to create eight approximately even sections. The shirt is now ready for dyeing
