I found myself in more difficulty than the students in class. Throughout my school years my grades weren't always great, they started to get worse when I started middle school and even in high school they weren't so good. My freshman year and sophomore year were the worst of my grades. When I was younger, from first to fourth grade, I was always pulled out of my class so they could help me with reading and writing those subjects that I would struggle with the most. They would also pull me out of class when I was in fifth grade because when I entered fifth grade I had more difficulty with my English and mostly reading and writing. To this day I still have problems, especially with writing. This started to create a fixed mindset. I thought this would keep me from going to middle school and high school because each time it got harder and harder for me. Once I got into high school I didn't struggle as much, I started to notice that the help I was getting from 4th grade through 6th grade really helped me. I felt like I was starting to no longer have a fixed mindset because once I hit senior year I started doing better on my essays and started studying more. My senior year teacher was very helpful and gave me feedback on how to improve my writing and how to not have as many problems with my writing.
