The project involved two managers of which I reported directly to one of them. The leadership styles exhibited by my manager were authoritative and affiliative. As the leader of a large project, he had clear goals and the path to achieving them. One of his signature skills was converting his thinking into achievable actions that led to the successful completion of tasks before deadlines. Every team member knew what they had to do and when they had to do it. This was the most critical element in a project. There was mutual coordination between team members which culminated in the results. “We were always trying to figure out why our sales dropped last week. We made the whole company look backwards instead of figuring out what we needed to do tomorrow” – Tom (Daniel Goleman, Leadership that getting Results, 2000). In case of failures, he provided team members with neutral feedback. This feedback has had a direct impact on our work progress. He was one of these people who was ready to give up the ideal situation
