This is intended to be achieved by simulating the performance of the intersection as it is now and comparing it to what it will be like with the roundabout in place, and providing an understanding of how traffic simulation models could be applied to investigate traffic flow in reality. In the traffic management evaluation a traffic simulation model will be used using a computer program, employing PTV Vistro - a microscopic, behavior-based simulation model developed for urban traffic and public transport modeling - as the design-based software on the highway Design Manual. 1.3 Problem Research The purpose of the design will be a comparative analysis of the current non-channelized 4-way intersection and that of a signalized roundabout.
