First of all, citizens will falsify information to qualify for welfare, so that they can receive benefits they don't deserve or need (Kyle). Second, some people who are actually entitled to welfare benefits use the money to finance illegal activities or use it against its purpose (Kyle). This can include people who buy drugs with money or become dealers. People may also go out and party or spend money on things they can't afford or don't need (Kyle). Ultimately, people will simply receive the money and have no intention of going to work and getting a job, as was originally intended by the system.
