Poe's life was never easy and this could have given him the inspiration he needed to create such dark stories. From "The Crow" which makes the reader feel together with the narrator over the loss of a loved one and plunges him into a state of depression. To the story of "The Tell-Tale Heart" that makes a person think about why the narrator believes he is sane and has the right to kill the man.
