It is from Great Britain that standardized tests originated, not only in all the common countries of Great Britain, but in Europe and then in America. A large factor that contributed to the growth of standardized testing in the United States was immigration. Standardized tests were used in the immigration field when people first arrived to test social roles and find power and social status. EOI tests serve the same purpose as proficiency tests. Assesses a student's skills and knowledge of goals and concepts (End-Of-Instruction FACTS). The purpose of the Alegebra II EOI test is to measure proficiency in Algebra II at the end of instruction. According to the Oklahoma C³ standards ("Okla. Core Curriculum Tests"), students are tested on a variety of concepts, such as number sense and algebraic operations, relationships and functions, data analysis, probability, and the statistics.
