I don't think children or teenagers should wear school uniforms. It deprives them of freedom of speech. They should have the right to wear what they want when they want. The uniforms are degrading and scary. Everything would be monotonous and boring if everyone looked the same and wore the same things! What happened to our American Constitution? Some children get stressed and may become depressed because they can't choose what to wear. In our country? The land of the free and the home of the brave and we can't even choose what to wear? The effect would be: angry and violent students and, in the worst case scenario, suicide. Children and teenagers have the right to choose what to wear, sure it might take a little longer, but it's worth it in the long run. Everyone has the right to express themselves freely and with their own appearance. It can tell what kind of person I am. Think about it, you go to a school that has uniforms and you see everyone wearing the same stuff who's who? What kind of personality they might have, maybe that of being a brick in the wall. Walk into a school without a uniform and you can immediately recognize anyone's personality by what they are wearing, so they will express their emotions through their clothes. Anyone can sneak into YOUR school wearing a uniform pretending to be a student and possibly selling illegal items. Let's say two people look alike and wear the same uniform. One of them committed a serious crime. Both walk in front of the camera at the same time. You can't tell them apart. So safety? Same thing as theft. They say this is a free country, when they do that and make students wear uniforms, it limits their freedoms. The school board is putting out a simple message this way… middle of paper… showing off your wealth, such as through expensive highlights, jewelry or manicures. Students will also inevitably talk about their families, holidays and hobbies. Finally, students will wear regular clothing at social events outside of school, which may establish social hierarchies based on clothing, if such hierarchies exist.Continue reading Furthermore, it is unfair to assume that students cannot make friends with people dressed in different way than I am. Students are already able to cross boundaries without having to wear identical clothing, and schools can encourage this with leadership activities and group discussions. So in conclusion, I don't think students should wear school uniforms, but I digress, we all disagree about something, right?
