Topic > Racial and social stereotypes in the movie Crash

This shows us that we are not born with prejudices and stereotypes, we are taught. When you think about how we are taught, you might think it could be the parents, but it could also be the teachers. It is our duty to teach our students that we must respect everyone and that regardless of skin color, we are all equal. This would be a really great movie to show high school students and discuss. However, as a primary school teacher I believe that this film would be very inappropriate to show to children, but if we wanted to talk about stereotypes and prejudices perhaps we could find some books that discreetly talk about it. As I said, you are not born with prejudices and stereotypes, they are learned. We can also teach our students that we don't need to think this way about others. Overall, this was an excellent film with many lessons
