Topic > Personal Reflection: The Power of Communication in…

To overcome this issue, I am completing my ESL endorsement to become educated on the norms of student populations represented in U.S. school systems. Often, I have learned, there are unique considerations to take into account when working with ethnically, socioeconomically, and other culturally diverse students. Having not witnessed this firsthand from an instructor's perspective, I wouldn't be sure how to proceed at this time. So, I decided to build open lines of communication with teachers and families of diverse students in my school district to get to know them personally, gain perspective on how they're feeling, and equip myself to better address their issues.
