When asked about my academic interest at the beginning of the year, as a "tradition" of teachers at my school, the immediate thing that came to mind was science. I am intrigued by the vast and orphic world of science and attracted by the numbers behind it. I can sit and watch science shows and read astronomy news all day. I always wonder what lies behind the mechanism of the universe. I want to do research and learn about science. But when I reconsidered the question, I realized that I also like literature. I read with my heart and love to write. But then I also like sports, mathematics and art. I like listening and playing music. I like learning a new language. Finally, I wrote on my paper, “I'm not really sure I know what my academic interest is or what I want to do in the future.” This bothered me, and I sat that day, pondering the meaning of life and things like that. I have come to a conclusion: it doesn't matter what I become in the future; no matter if I become an athlete or an architect, there is one thing I know I want and need. This is a skill I thought I had but have always lacked: the ability to lead, to resolve conflicts - Leadership. First of all, taking this course will help me a lot when I go out into the world. When I grow up, I will have to learn to deal with the people I like and don't like. It's a competitive world out there and I need to learn to take "the lead" and help lead my partners forward. There will be conflicts because no one will have the exact same opinion. Learning to overcome the barrier of difference will help collaborators come up with much better ideas. A single idea does not "contribute", many ideas do, and the tool used to bring together all the ideas and opinions... middle of the paper... prepare myself in this field of study, I am planning to attend a technology or science school natural and I am examining the projects carried out by the researcher to keep myself updated. Science interests me because there are many mysteries and knowledge to be discovered out there, and I will try to find the answer to some of the secrets of the universe. This year I will be applying to Brown University's Leadership of Institute in search of a new kind of knowledge, the kind of knowledge that can help me take what I have learned in my interested field of study to a whole new level. I believe everyone has at least one thing they are good at, but what makes a person more successful than others is their leadership skills. Anyone can be a good leader, some just need the chance to bring out their inner leadership skills. And I believe Brown's Leadership of Institute is the right opportunity for me to get started.
