The good and bad of technology in our world today I don't remember the exact moment when I first came into contact with a computer. However, the first memory I have is playing the game Madeline, from the children's book and film. It was my favorite pastime when I couldn't play outside due to the weather. I taught myself because my parents didn't know much about computers. They didn't grow up with them like I did. Eventually computers became second nature to me. I took computer science classes from second grade until I graduated from high school. Every year I learned to type faster and learned about new computer programs. I was taught how to create a Power Point presentation, how to create an Excel spreadsheet, and all the ins and outs of Microsoft Word. Because of this, I felt very comfortable with computers. When I was in elementary school I used the computer to play and draw with Paint.
