As many know, Kurt Cobain was the singer and guitarist of the grunge band Nirvana (Russomanno, Tony). There is truth behind the lyrics and tone of Cobain's music. It takes people deep into what was really happening behind closed doors. Cobain struggled with many adversities such as heroin, chronic stomach pain, alcohol and pills (Cobain, Kurt). Cobain, however; he didn't deal with his adversity well. In reality he never managed to overcome them. As a child, Cobain was involved in positive activities. “He participated in Little League Baseball when he was young. Cobain also spent most of his time with his only pureblood sister, Kim, born in 1971” (Cobain, Kurt). Throughout his childhood, Cobain often had to listen to his parents constantly argue and argue. He knew they were dissatisfied with each other, but he didn't want them to divorce. “When Cobain turned nine, his parents finally divorced.” Divorce ultimately ate away at Cobain and changed his outlook on life (Goldman, David). “After the divorce, Cobain's father remarried a woman named Jenny. Cobain truly felt hatred and contempt for his stepmother” (Cobain, Kurt). “He felt like his father always took his side and barely paid any attention to him or his sister.” These problems with Cobain and his stepmother also raised problems between Cobain and his father” (Cobain, Kurt). Cobain was not interested in school during his childhood. In fact, he hated going to school because he felt alone and lost in the world. While Cobain attended high school, he attended art and music events (Russomanno, Tony). He liked to paint and sing. Throughout his high school and high school career, Cobain did not have to...... half of the card...... still carries in his possession (Grant, Tom).
