One summer I woke up to a strange noise. It was around four in the morning when I got my feet out of bed. My mother was still sleeping in her bed so it couldn't be her and my father was away on a business trip. The noise I heard wasn't coming from downstairs or the same floor I was sleeping on. It sounded like it was coming from above my head. It had a loud hollow sound, like it was going down the stairs. I couldn't just sit on the bed and do nothing about that strange noise. I had to know what was up there. Quickly and silently I headed towards the attic. There were a bunch of old boxes and treasure chests that I had never seen before. As I was walking around, I saw this suitcase moving. I reached out to grab it and it stopped moving. At the top it said two thousand thirty-one. I opened it and it looked like it had some round shopping rings. The guys you see outside the TV when people get hypnotized. Looking at the date, it was nineteen years in the future. Being sixteen, I couldn't help but want to know what life would be like. I turned the back of the case and it said "You can only travel to one place for twenty-four hours and each person can only travel once. If you don't stick to the time limit, you will be trapped there for the rest of your life With that I took a watch and started ringing ten minutes before the twenty-four hours were up. Then I entered the place and the year and jumped in. "I did it," I said, hitting the ground. Looking around, trying to find out where I was. Nothing really looked familiar, but I could tell where I was. Times have changed. No one knew what I did or looked much like me different so you... middle of paper... to leave honestly. I also had to know what I had done to get here. I was still with my family at dinner time. I felt like I was at home so natural. I almost forgot about the time. It was almost eleven. Staying wouldn't be a good idea. I would miss so much of my life that I never had the chance to do. I had to make a choice. I sat there dressed in black trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I heard a loud noise. This time it was a ring. Form an alarm clock. My eyes opened and I woke up. It couldn't have been a dream. I could hear and smell everything that was going on around me. It couldn't have been my mind playing tricks on me. I couldn't believe I was dreaming about it. My life and everything I wanted were real. Sitting in the corner was the magic suitcase. It may have been a dream or I went back in time.
