All of these vastly distinct cultures cause many forms of racial inequality and tension. The problem for most races is that they find that there are no equal opportunities for advancement in American society. From the article “A new type of ghetto” Nuzhat Ali explains the difficulties of being trapped and not being able to leave the small community in which he grew up: “We constantly return to the first generation”. Young men and women from these “ghettos” often do not have the opportunity to go to university. Without going to college, young people in these communities are forced to earn a living from their father's profession and find themselves stranded in the same community, without a college degree. “A New Kind Of Ghetto” also shares a good point: “The really important thing is to understand where the problems are. They don't lie with all ethnic groups, nor with mass immigration. Instead, they are specific and profound... the exceptions are closely intertwined with the national fabric." What this means is that each case is very different from the other and must be evaluated differently. There is no single plan that can solve the specific problems of each community. I suggest that instead of a broad action plan, a community-specific assessment is needed. The leaders of these communities will work alongside the representative appointed to
