When children play sports, they learn teamwork. Because they play by a set of adult-created rules that must be strictly followed, children must work together to figure out how to use these rules to their advantage to win the game. In this way, children develop a sense of brotherhood, teamwork and eventual fulfillment when they win. They also learn that not everyone wins, so they mature by dealing with defeat and finding a way to win next time instead. Other activities, such as community service or Girl/Boy Scouts, not only create a sense of teamwork, but also a sense of accomplishment. The main goal of community service and scouts is to improve your community in some way and help those in need. Children learn that with these organized activities they make a group of people or even just one person happier, and this gives the child a sense of accomplishment. Personally, I was a Boy Scout, and to this day I am proud of it and I know that the activities I participated in and the skills I learned at that age still help me in this
